Blunt Envy ranks among the top scooter brands at SkateHut. They've also been chosen as our brand of the month for March! To commemorate this, we're diving into a detailed exploration of their Limited Edition Ace of Spades decks!

As a renowned and reliable scooter brand, they uphold the belief that every rider should have access to top-quality components to elevate their riding skills!

Blunt Envy Signature Riders

The development of the AOS Limited Edition Decks allowed Blunt to give several professional riders, making waves in the industry, the freedom to design a deck tailored to their preferences. After years of riding and establishing themselves in the sport, they were granted the chance to personalize their own deck. This not only enabled them to advance in their unique style but also provided emerging riders with an opportunity to excel in the very styles that inspired them.

Let's explore these limited-edition, expertly crafted decks!

Didine Signature Deck

Didine

The most recent version of the Ace of Spades deck is the AOSV4 LTD, with Blunt rider Didine Terchague earning his well-deserved signature deck early in 2019. Didine joins the impressive roster of signature riders: Flavio Pesenti, Charles Padel, Warick Beynon, Raymond Warner, and Jon Reyes.

Why did you select these dimensions for the AOSV4 LTD?

"I opted for a longer and wider deck to have ample foot space, ensuring more comfort while riding. I particularly appreciate the wider deck for rails, as it feels really stable while grinding or sliding on ledges and rails. I also find that my riding flows better when I'm cruising on my scooter."

What do the graphics on your signature deck represent?

"I wanted the design to reflect my street riding style. When I'm on the street, there's an uncertainty about whether the rail will defeat me or if I will conquer the spot. I also like the snake motif because they strike quickly, which mirrors how I approach street spots—hard and fast. I chose black for its clean, stealth appearance."

Flavio Signature Deck

Why did you select these dimensions for the AOSV4 LTD?

"I prefer a longer deck for enhanced pop during bunny hops and greater stability. For width, I favor an intermediate size that maintains stability on rails while also providing a responsive and agile deck."

What do the graphics on your signature deck represent?

"Regarding graphics, my first AOSV4 Deck was half black and half grey. The black symbolized the negative aspects of my life, with the reaper holding a chain with my father's initials. The grey represented the elements that bring me joy, like my family, friends, and my city, which hold great significance for me. The reaper graphic reminds me to put my all into riding while also recognizing where I come from and how it has shaped my journey. For my latest AOSV4LTD, I chose gold colors to embrace a playful, flashy style. I cherish my promodel parts and am deeply grateful to Blunt for allowing me to infuse my essence into scooter parts."

Charles Padel Signature Deck

Charles Padel

Why did you select these dimensions for the AOSV4 LTD?

"My past AOS signature decks have evolved with me, each one getting slightly larger. My newest signature deck, the AOSv4 LTD, matches my riding style perfectly, as it's neither too big nor too small, making it versatile for any setting! Perhaps my next deck will be bigger." ;)

What do the graphics on your signature deck represent?

"I wanted a sleek design for my deck and included my phrase DNWTF (Don’t Need Wings To Fly), which I’ve used for years. For those who are curious, in French, my last name Padel means 'no wings'. I love reaching high on quarter pipes or transfers, so Don't Need Wings To Fly is a clever play on words and reflects my riding style."

Warick Beyon Signature Deck

Wazzeh

Why did you select these dimensions for the AOSV4 LTD?

"Choosing the right dimensions for a signature deck is challenging, especially when you want the rider to enjoy it as much as you do! I selected dimensions of 4.9 wide x 21 long because it’s slightly larger than my original AOSv4, yet still compact enough for riders of all sizes and ages to enjoy."

What do the graphics on your signature deck represent?

"The bandana graphic stems from my old habit of wrapping my bars with bandanas and other vibrant fabrics! My original AOSv4 was teal, my favorite color, but for the limited edition decks, I opted for a monotone look so it complements any color combination, leading us to choose silver!"

Raymond Warner Signature Deck

Raymond Warner

Why did you select these dimensions for the AOSV4 LTD?

"The reason I prefer my signature deck size of 4.75” wide x 20.25” long is due to the numerous tail whip combinations I perform. A smaller deck size makes it easier to maneuver the deck around. I've attempted six-whips with decks measuring 5” wide x 21” long, and the difficulty difference is remarkable. Hence, I'll be sticking with smaller deck sizes for the foreseeable future!"

What do the graphics on your signature deck represent?

"To many, my deck graphic might just be an image of an old car with a custom license plate beneath a Bible verse surrounded by pin striping. However, the story behind it is quite intricate. The car depicted is a 1970 Pontiac GTO, my first car, which I named 'Bertha'. I've owned it since I was 18 and have cherished it from day one. The license plate reads 'GTLI22', meaning 'Got To Love It 22'. 'Got to love it' is a phrase I often used, and it was integral to the Scooter Zone family, of which I was part for a long time. The Bible verse, which reads 'I can do all things through him who strengthens me' from Philippians 4:13, has been a guiding prayer for me, so it seemed fitting for something bearing my name. As for the blue color, blue is my favorite, so it was an obvious choice."

Jon Reyes Signature Deck

Jon Reyes

Why did you select these dimensions for the AOSV4 LTD?

"The dimensions 20.5x4.7 offer the perfect balance. Small enough for quick combo execution, yet long enough for stability and balance. I chose the oil slick finish because I wanted a deck with a multitude of colors. Unable to decide which single color would match everything, I opted for a finish that encompasses all colors!"

Why are your signature deck graphics important?

"The design on the underside represents life. The environment surrounding you may be damaged, devastated, and could push you into the darkest corner. The rose stands for opportunity, the opportunities and decisions we all have to evolve and overcome anything. Regardless of how difficult something may be, there is always a solution."
