We’re offering you the opportunity to ride a design you adore and stir up some inevitable envy at the skatepark simultaneously with our #DesignADeck contest.
Submit your amazing deck design by sketching it or alternatively, use the entry template in Photoshop, Illustrator, or your preferred image editing software. In either case, you’ll need our #DesignADeck template, which you can download. (PC only) .
Along with a custom-designed 8” (wide) deck on offer, our first-place winner will also receive:

We’re hosting the #DesignADeck contest from May 5th to June 5th, 2016. Your deck design can be created and submitted at any time from rd May 3rd, 2016. Simply complete the template and send it to us.

1. To confirm your entry, please retain your original entry template with your design throughout the contest. This will be required to create your custom skateboard if you win.
2. Entries should be submitted via social media:
a. Instagram: Post a photo of your deck design using the template Skatehut provides. The photo should tag @skatehut in the post and include the hashtag #DesignADeck
b. Twitter: Post a photo of your deck design using the template Skatehut provides. The photo should tag @skatehut in the Tweet and include the hashtag #DesignADeck
c. Facebook: Post a photo comment of your deck design using the template Skatehut provides. The comment will be on the Facebook post (Pinned to the top of the Skatehut Facebook page).
d. Email: Send entries to competitions@skatehut.com
e. Offline: To submit entries created offline, either photograph or scan them, then use one of the above (online) uploading methods.
3. Only one entry per person is allowed.
4. Participants guarantee that the work they submit is their own original creation and that they hold the exclusive copyright to it.
5. Multiple entries will be disregarded with only your first entry being accepted.
6. By submitting images for this contest, you grant Skatehut the license to use, repurpose, and distribute them.
7. The contest will begin on 5th May 2016 and will end on 5th June 2016.
8. Participation in the contest is limited to UK residents.
9. Entries will be evaluated based on creativity and presentation.
10. The winner and runners-up will be featured on the Skatehut website and subsequently on Skatehut's social media platforms.
11. By participating, you authorize Skatehut to use your images on its website and social media platforms.
12. A panel of judges will select one winner.
13. Two runners-up will be selected by a panel of judges.
14. The winners will be informed by 7th June 2016 through a contact method provided in the entry (social profile used = contact method). th 15. Skatehut must receive the winners' confirmation of the prize by 10th June 2016. If Skatehut does not receive confirmation from the winner by this deadline, Skatehut reserves the right to select the next most successful runner-up as the winner.
16. The winner will receive: one custom-designed deck, £200 worth of components, plus freebies (including skateboard assembly). The £200 components include: 1 set of trucks, 1 set of wheels, 1 roll of grip tape, 1 set of bearings, 1 set of truck bolts, 1 set of risers, 1 universal skate tool. The two runners-up will each receive one custom-designed deck and freebies. th 17. You cannot transfer your prize to another person. If you do not wish to accept the prize, the next runner-up will be chosen.
18. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash.
19. The winners may be required to participate in publicity to promote the contest.
20. Skatehut reserves the right to verify entries and reject those with legitimate cause.
