We understand that some customers of SkateHut Ltd (in Administration) have outstanding orders that were not fulfilled prior to the company entering administration. Below, we explain what this means for you, and what options you have to seek redress.
SkateHut Ltd entered administration and was subsequently acquired by SkatePro UK. While the business and certain assets have been purchased, the original company (SkateHut Ltd) remains in administration, and the administrators are handling all claims related to unfulfilled orders placed before the administration date.
If you have an unfulfilled order, you are considered a consumer creditor of SkateHut Ltd (in Administration).
We recommend you pursue one of the following two options as your first course of action:
Contact SkatePro UK
The buyer of the business and its assets (SkatePro UK) is aware of the situation. They are expected to contact affected customers directly in due course. If you prefer not to wait, you may also choose to contact SkatePro UK yourself to discuss your specific order and options - sales@skatehut.com
Contact Your Card Provider
If you paid by debit or credit card, you may be able to request a refund through your card provider or bank. Many card providers offer chargeback or similar schemes for unfulfilled transactions. We recommend you contact your card issuer as soon as possible to enquire about this option.
You are entitled to submit a formal claim to the administrators of SkateHut Ltd for your unfulfilled order(s). However, as noted above, at present there is no indication that unsecured creditors will receive any payment from the administration. We understand this is a frustrating situation, and we thank you for your patience and understanding during this process.
