They loved how the original Dervish felt, but wanted to enhance the features and increase versatility. After modifications to the width, concave, and thickness of the deck the results were in, and the Sama had a new overall feel when riding. A vertically laminated bamboo core is sandwiched between layers of triaxial fibreglass and a bamboo bottom veneer. The deck is pressed with concave and cambered curvatures to create a lively, responsive ride with high energy return.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003ePREMIUM DURIAN WHEELS\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003eMuch like its botanical namesake, the Durian is a big, meaty, and succulent gob of urethane designed to carry you across town to the not-so-local fruit stand or to be smeared liberally over your favourite downhill freeride run.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cdiv\u003eCombining an offset bearing seat and relatively wide contact patch with stiff, rounded lips results in a product that feels like a blend between a perfectly broken-in race wheel and a driftier freeride wheel. A tall and moderately wide internal core provides just enough support for clean and chatter-free slides without compromising the wheel’s plush ride and progressive level of traction. All is possible with the Durian. After testing several new shapes and sizes, Loaded added subtle kicks to increase pop and to lock your feet in. The two sections at the kicks use an aggressive, rougher-grit grip to provide enhanced control and security for manuals and freestyle tricks. The four middle sections use a milder, finer-grit grip (comparable to street skate grip) to facilitate dancing and footwork manoeuvres.
