Skate bearings can be used for most applications within the industry, skateboards, scooters, quads, longboards and inlines all use the same sized bearings, some bearings are measured on an ABEC scale ranging from 1 to 11 (in odd numbers) with 11 being the highest precision, however this does not account for the grade of material used which is also very important to the speed of a bearing. 2 bearings are used per wheel with a spacer in the middle.     Cleaning Skateboard Bearings is an essential maintenance task that helps to prolong the life of your Skateboard, and ensure optimal performance. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to clean your Skateboard Bearings:

    Materials needed:

    • Skate Tool or wrench
    • Skateboard Bearing cleaner solvent
    • Container or jar
    • Clean rag or paper towel
    • Lubricant

    Instructions:

    1. Remove the Skateboard Bearings from the wheels using a Skate Tool or wrench. Place the Bearings in a container or jar.
    2. Fill the container or jar with enough Bearing cleaner solvent to submerge the Bearings completely.
    3. Let the bearings soak in the solvent for several minutes to loosen any dirt or debris.
    4. Swirl the container or jar to agitate the Bearings in the solvent.
    5. Remove the Bearings from the solvent and place them on a clean rag or paper towel.
    6. Use a pin or needle to remove any remaining dirt or debris from the Bearings.
    7. Dry the Bearings with a clean rag or paper towel.
    8. Apply a small amount of lubricant to each Bearing.
    9. Reassemble the Skateboard Bearings back into the wheels.
    10. Spin the wheels to distribute the lubricant evenly.

  • How to get Bearings out of Skateboard Wheels?

    Removing Bearings from your Skateboard Wheels is a fairly simple process that can be done with a Skate Tool or wrench. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to remove Bearings from Skateboard Wheels:

    Materials needed:

    • Skate Tool or wrench
    • Clean rag or paper towel

    Instructions:

    1. Remove the Skateboard Wheel from the truck axle using a Skate Tool or wrench.
    2. Place the wheel on a clean rag or paper towel with the bearing side facing down.
    3. Use the axle of the Skate Tool or wrench to push down on the centre of the Bearing until it pops out of the wheel.
    4. Flip the wheel over and repeat on the other side to remove the second Bearing.
    5. Clean the Bearings using a Bearing cleaner solvent or replace them if necessary.
    6. If cleaning the Bearings, dry them thoroughly with a clean rag or paper towel before reinserting them into the Skateboard Wheel.

    Repeat the process for each wheel until all bearings have been removed. Once the Bearings have been cleaned or replaced, reinsert them into the wheels and reattach the wheels to the Skateboard Truck axles.

  • Are All Skateboard Bearings the Same Size?
